Hi, im pretty sure there is a way for AIm to notify me if I get emails. so what I did was I went to My Aim>read mail>add pop3 email. From here I filled in exactly this…
Type: POP3
E-Mail: MYEMAIL@hotmail.com
Password: MY PASSWORD
Server: hotmail.com
Mail Program: C:Program FilesOutlook Expressmsimn.exe
Check every: 5 Minutes
the email thing is right, and the PW…but im not sure about what I put in for POP3 server and pop3 mail program…could anyone tell me if I filled those 2 things in correctly?!?! Thanks 🙂
For hotmail it’s http://services.msn.com/svcs/hotmail/httpmail.asp and set it to HTML not POP3.
umm…that link doesnt work 🙁
Yes this will work only if you are subscribed to the pay services for POP3/STMP server from Hotmail/MSN. No use trying to get the free accounts to work on your AIM’s E-mail Notification.
You have to pay for pop3 access for most e-mail accounts. MSN, Hotmail, Yahoo, and most other free accounts offer this service only to paying customers.
