Hi all
I’m finding that about half the time, my offline messages are not delivered, they bounce with that horrid brown text. Is there anything I should be looking into? Or is it an ISP issue? The only way I’ve found to fix it is to log off , close it and re sign in, and even then it takes two or three attempts before offline messages will go again. Online ones are ok.
I got sick of that and uninstalled it, then came across the problem with losing sound when I went back to V7.5. I got WLM from a MSN site too…you can’t win can you?!
Any help is appreciated.
Hi there, there’s a fix for the loss of sound problem: check the top of the Windows Live Messenger forums, I have a support post there.
As for Offline Messaging, it is really unstable right now. Not just for you and me but for Microsoft staff too. You must also remember Windows Live Messenger is STILL BETA.
Hope this helps
I put WLM back on, it’s just frustrating when you have to log off the internet and log back on again in order to finish what you are saying. I’d rather wait and have something that works properly than have something that is half baked. I can usually send about 6 short paragraphs and then it’s “message can not be delivered to all recipients”. It’s driving me up the wall…..!!!!
As for losing sound from the old version if you go back to it…that’s just ridiculous and typical of MSN. I could understand if I had got WLM from another site, but I got mine from MSN’s site!
Thanks anyway.
Well it sorted itself out for a while, but it’s back to the way it was now and I’m AGAIN having trouble sending offline messages. Only about 50% of them go, and I thought it was coming out of the Beta version tomorrow.
Is there nothing that I can do to improve matters?
