ok so if someone on aim ims you and your using icq and your offline does that get sent to you when you log on?
also the new icq supports aim buddies correct?
I don’t believe AIM users are able to send off-line messages to ICQ users, but ICQ users can and AIM users usually will get the off-line messages once they get on-line.
EDIT–Yes, ICQ supports AIM buddies.
wait if i send an icq message to an offline aim user and the aim user signs on it gets it?
I am sorry I overlooked this one:
Yes, when AIM users get on-line, they get your off-line messages (from ICQ) I asked both of my AOL and non-AOL users if they get messages, they get it everytime I sent to them from ICQ. 🙂
sweet thats pretty rad tho i wish aim had offline messaging :-/
I just tested this using the newest version of ICQ lite, and when I try to send to an offline AIM user, i get this message:
“Send Offline message to AOL user
User is offline and cannot recieve your message at this time”
Also when using the newest version of AIM, I was unable to send messages to ICQ when they were offline.
You can get offline messaging functions on AIM through DoorManBot2
