Hi there 🙂
Often when i have a conversation via MSN and somebody send me something it goes very slow. When i download something straight from the net it goes really fast. What could make this go so slow cause sometimes its very annoying?
Thanks
This is because when there is a firewall or something between you and a contact, the files go through the MSN file transfer server (which is extremely slow).
Also, If your friend is sending/receiving faster then you with everything the same, it could be spyware or something of the sort.
But in any case don’t expect downloading something from msn messenger to be as fast as when you download from the internet.
Good to know this info because i was indeed kinda comparing it to normal downloading … Thanks for the info, at least i now know why it goes that slow 🙂
MSN Messenger’s file transfer system is technically capable of reaching the same, if not better, transfer speeds as a “normal download” IF and only IF a direct TCP connection can be made – which is not often.
Nice to know 🙂
