So when I have a few minutes, I enjoy playing Mahjongg on line, but the one I play is from Nabisco and the music and animation are annoying to me. If you have any suggestions of other *free* Mahjongg games, please let me know.

Miniclip.com offers a really nice version you can play for free. I’ve also found some clones here, here and here. 🙂

Have a great day!
September 22, 2006 at 1:44 pm #152610OreoMemberMaybe we could add this game to the arcade *cough* *cough* 😀
September 22, 2006 at 7:43 pm #152614PolarBearNPRParticipantHeh, now there’s an idea I *ahem* hadn’t thought of 😀
September 22, 2006 at 9:44 pm #152612Eagle_KiwiMemberHave you tried the Yahoo version, PB ?
I enjoy that mainly as it lets me see my (Yahoo) friends’ high scores too, enabling healthy competition with them even though we may not be online at the same time.
(Some more background here).N.B. Just at present – for at least the last 48 hoiurs – it seems that all(?) Y! Mahjong Solitaire servers are down. Try later.
Please post here, anyone, if/when you CAN access this game again. 😡September 23, 2006 at 11:09 pm #152615PolarBearNPRParticipantIan, I just played the game over there, and it’s okay. Seemed to be having some trouble removing tiles every now and then, and at one point left a partial tile. I also had some trouble seeing the “edges” of the tiles at first . . . could be the “parrot-got-me-eye” thing, or something else 😀 But it was fun to play in all those new configurations, and the continuous play til I used my 3 shuffles was a new twist as well. The competition component doesn’t really add anything for me at the moment, however. I’ll be giving it another try some time though. Thanks for the suggestion.
So far, my favorite is this one (thanks, Dan). Although, after the Yahoo experience, I wanted a longer game with varied tile configurations as the levels. Ahhhh, the choices I now have. Thanks everyone for those suggestions.
