Question I received from a member through e-mail:
Firstly, you have a great website. Lots of useful information.
One question I don’t think was there (sorry if I just didn’t see it).
My friend has installed Yahoo Messenger, and invited me to her contact list. She is now on mine too.
However we started to chat and she kept typing “I can’t see your typing” I got her messages, but none of mine was seen at her end.
Any ideas what the problem could be please. Much obliged.
Katherine
I’m giving her the link to this thread, so any help us much appreciated. 🙂

Ask your contact to turn of ALL pop-up blockers. This includes in the internet properties of IE and any and all toolbars that have been installed. If she uses Firefox it has it’s own pop-up blocker and that would need to be disabled as well.
Let me know if this helps!

pop-up only blocks pop-up generated by Firefox, and two the Yahoo Messenger
PM window and its Chat Window that are used to display font are IE based
Controls. So if you do believe it is a pop-up blocker that is blocking your font
from being displayed it would have to block IE based pop-ups. In this case you
may want to try disabling it and see if you get font displayed. -
