I was just wondering what everyone’s thoughts were about whether playstation 2, x-box, or gamecube will rule the online console gaming…
I’ve already seen the playstation 2 online gaming at Comic-con 2002 , and the games they have (twisted metal black, socom) both looked really nice online, with some problems with aiming with a controller (which is typical) but i’m sure that it wouldn’t take too long to adapt to that… Well, other than that, it seems to be a very sound online launch..
I can’t really speak for the X-box, but some things that I’ve seen for GC that i’ve liked is the controller/keyboad…..its kind of like they cut the controller in half and placed a keyboard in the middle (in a good way), but they are going to have a VERY limited launch, with only phantasy star online versions 1 and 2 (on one disk)
The only game i would play online with x-box would be halo, and that would only be if i could get ahold on a keyboard and mouse for the x-box…..i would also think that there might be player-made maps because of the harddrive in the x-box…….but then again, you can also buy a harddrive for your ps2anyway, i’ve been talking too long,……. later……..

First up is Gamecube Wars, this is the game after advance wars (for game boy advance) This looks very promising, you know what i’m talking about if you’ve played the gba title
Number two is a Mario Cart game, this also looks to be an excellant game, if the n64 one is anything to speculate off of.
On to three, Animal Crossing….This HAS to be one of the strangest games I’ve EVER seen and, well, you will either love it or hate it, anyway, with the possibilites to visit other villages and stuff online, this sounds neat.
And lastly would be a mario party type game…..not TOO exciting, but it would be fun to play with two tvs in one room and 8 people =) -
