ParticipantOnly AOL members who enter a private chatroom when the room is empty can obtain admin status. There is a program out there that when an AOL user gets admin status he can add co-ops to type in commands who can kick or ban via by the AOL account. It is all dependent on the main AOL account who has admin status.

You can’t do it on AIM, only AOL users can do it while signed into AOL.

Did you know there is a program or file out there that allows you to be a co-op on AIM when an AOL op is in the room. That person has to appoint you co-op first but afterward you can type in +b screenname or +k screenname and the main AOL name will ban or kick whoever you put as screenname from the room. This only works if the main AOL account is in the room. It also saves the main admin’s place for them if they leave the room but not all the co-ops leave. I witnissed this in a private channel one day.
However a regular AIM user cannot come into a chatroom first and be a HOST. I’m sorry but its not possable foleyfan3003. I have personally asked AOL Tech support about this matter on 2 seperate occasions. That user probably had co-op status from an AOL member as I mentioned above.
Code:AIMUSER1: +k AIMUSER2
AIMUSER2 has left the room.
AOLUSER: AIMUSER2, ± has been Removed.February 27, 2004 at 7:05 am #92640CyberShadow
MemberI have the programs need to do this…
IM Xanthophyta if you want them.February 27, 2004 at 9:04 am #92639Atlas
ParticipantThe program is called “uccom” and it only works with aol 8.0+. My friend nick and unfair made it. You’ll need an AOL account and uccom to have the ability to ban people using an AIM account. You must obtain the chatroom first (make sure your AOL screen name is the first in the chat) then load uccom and add yourself to the OP list. I havent used it but like i said my friend nick help make it so. I apologize in advance if explaining the method for banning people in AIM chatrooms using a prog is breaking the rules here at BigBlueBall.
