I have a friend on AIM who has the mobile thing set up, so if he is not signed on AIM, he can still get messages, by his name it says he’s been on for 3 days and some odd hours and minutes, when I do my mobile device thing, it doesn’t say that I am online, it jsut says I am using a mobile device, why does his have the time and mine doesn’t?

He is probably using a phone with AIM software built into it. Rather than receiving IMs as text messages, his phone software would actually act like any other AIM client, allowing him to send and receive IMs in real time.
