For some reason I am not getting all my contacts in yahoo via trillian. MSN, AOL are fine, I am only having this problem with yahoo. When I sign on to yahoo I see my contact that are online.
I have another wiered problem with tirllian. From few days, when I signin to my yahoo account it would receive my yahoo buddies but thats it I can do nothing else. I cannot see anyone online. My messages send are not received by the person. I can’t receive messages either. it doesn’t do anything on yahoo else than receiving my buddy list. 🙁
change yahoo server to scs.msg.yahoo.com instead of scs.yahoo.com, it sovled my problem.
In trillian pro goto connection manager click yahoo acount, then preferences and change the server.
In free version goto preferences and click on yahoo and change the server.

I did what you said and restarted like the link said. It worked fine until I had to restart my computer, after that when I would go to log on to Yahoo it tells me that the password is invalid. This is nothing new to me, so I did what I alwasys did, I clicked on the error message, told it to save the settings and then I went to it in the tray and told it to reconnect from the right-click menu. That normally works but this time it didn’t so I tried 3 more times and nothing worked just the same thing over and over. So I closed out Trillian completely and started it over and nothing works. I then removed the fix and I could log on but the buddies list thing problem was back. I did the fix again and the problem repeated itself.Anyone have a clue at all as to what I can do about this?
Yahoo, has just experienced a vunerability, and so trillian prolly hasn’t updated yet. For reference, check this out.
There was a vulnerability, it’s fixed in 1358, but all it does is plug the hole, it shouldn’t affect login.
Other unofficial clients, as of about 3am GMT today have been experiencing YMSG login difficulties, while Yahoo! Messenger has logged in effortlessly(some report Yahoo! messenger error too though). In my research, there reports of this at chat-help.co.uk , Yahoo! Chat Help:1 chatroom, and Trillian Community Support.
It’s possible Yahoo! could have changed something, it could just be a glitch, problem with glitches on weekends is that they never get looked at until the following Monday.
I just talked with a friend, who got me hooked on Trillian, he is having the exact same problem as I.
