OSCAR alternative?

Hello everyone –

Does anyone know any AIM proxies out there that connect you indirectly to the oscar.aol servers? Otherwise, does anyone know how to possibly do this by port forwarding, etc..?

Well, there is the blue login thing… It’s another protocol separate from oscar, if i’m not mistaken. I connect to AIM that way, but i’m not on AIM right now so i can’t go check and see the server i connect to.

hmm i have a question, why would you want to switch your server on AIM, im new at this, and im jw why you would do it?

You would want to switch if say one of the servers went down, or if for some odd reason you can’t access the other ones.
