is it me or is OSI not working with MSN messenger lately or having problems picking up the status? It most of the time shows me as offline when i am online any ideas?
Chrome
July 22, 2003 at 4:34 pm #58946FaizanMemberWell, if you’ve blocked “All Other Users” in your “Privacy” menu under options, the status will never show. Thats how OSI works. It comes under list of other users, which are not really added to your contact list.
So, make sure that “Other Users” are not blocked in your “Privacy” tab.
July 22, 2003 at 4:38 pm #58949ChromeMemberYes but my own status shows up as offline when i am online? I don’t think I have blocked myself. 🙂
July 22, 2003 at 5:18 pm #58945FaizanMemberWhere does your status show offline? If itsd on OSI, it is blocked under others. And if you’re on about on MSN, well you need to explain a bit more.
July 22, 2003 at 5:53 pm #58948ChromeMembermaybe another question does it matter if you have the full email address which i do or just the handle?

http://arkansasmall.tcworks.net:8080/msn/[email protected]
http://213.210.25.62:8080/msn/[email protected]
all three show me offline when I am online, this is myself checking is it important to have the @hotmail.com with it or not? I would love someone to set that up on my own server as i can’t get it to work for some reason.

July 22, 2003 at 6:21 pm #58947shifterMemberYes you do need the full address (including @hotmail.com) for MSN to work on OSI. I have included the codes for the above OSI of your addy from http://thekill.co.uk:8080/
The HTML Code is:
The Forum Code is:
I have noticed the MSN OSI has not been very acurate lately, but keep trying on different servers, one will usually work for you.
August 23, 2003 at 6:47 am #58950TigerbladeParticipanti know no one has posted in this thread for a while, but my MSN OSI hasnt been working either… and i’ve tried several different servers, so many that i cant even begin to list them. no, i havent blocked people from seeing my status, i know the html link is correct, i have the image on my own webpage host, the images are coming up just fine. BUT even though i know perfectly well that i’m online, it still decides to show me as OFFLINE. even if i try to refresh the page, clear the internet files and history, anything i can think of to change it… i get no respect! (apologies to rodney)
this is simply unacceptable. :p any suggestions why it might still be doing this?
(EDIT: i went back to my website a few minutes after my original posting, and then it showed me as ONLINE!! go figure. but my question still stands, because it should be showing me as online all the time)
