Is there a free/demo partition resizer that works? I tried the Partition Magic Demo, but it doesn’t let you do anything. It only has to work for hard drives up to 40GBs. Thanks
99% of linux distributions come with a partitian resizer, from what I remember MEPIS and knoppix both have qtparted which is really easy to use and has no limits.
Hi Hurricane,
I don’t think there are any free partition program out there that you can use without destroying all of your data. If you willing to destroy your data then you can use the “Fdisk” program that came with the old Windows/DOS or the setup program in WinXP/2000/2003.
Btw, EEDOK, I think Hurricane is referring to Windows, not LINUX.
I was planning to put Fedora Core 3 on my HD with Windows XP, but I guess I’ll just have to wait until I get my new HD (which shouldn’t be long). Oh well. Thanks for the help
The tools I suggested do a safe partitian(as long as the drive is defragged) and those linux tools work on windows partitians, they do the job and they fit his price range so I don’t see where the problem is(that and those distros run independantly of the harddrive).
