Is there a program like MsgPlus! (which is for MSN) for AIM? Mostly I’m looking for a program that would let me password protect my AIM while I’m away… I’ve had a few security problems lately that I’d like to prevent from ever happening again. The MsgPlus! program lets you set it so that whenever you go away, you have to enter a password to re-open Messenger. Granted that’s for MSN Messenger, is there a similar program for AIM?
any help would be appreciated
and yes i did a search… i got this topic but i’m hoping there might be a way that they didnt know?

October 27, 2003 at 7:00 pm #54036combatmicahMemberI don’t know of anything with a password protection for AIM…..but like couldn’t you just set your screen saver to like 1 or 2 minutes and put a password protect on that? I don’t know the background of your situation….but maybe it’ll help….if not…sorry & I hope you find something that does help!!!
October 27, 2003 at 9:23 pm #54032TigerbladeParticipantyeah i thought of the screensaver thing, but that would be more of a hassle to me than its worth, cause i’m constantly away from my computer for short periods of time… i’m lookin for something while i’m away, without having to type in my password every 2 minutes.. but thanks anyway
October 28, 2003 at 12:27 am #54034Nick72918Memberoooooo oooooooo oooooooo u no when u first log on to aim i have a prgram that befor u can go on u hav to hav a 8 letter code of ur choice befor u sin on wud that help
October 28, 2003 at 12:51 am #54031TigerbladeParticipanthaha thanks, no i could just sign off and have it not remember my password, it’d be the same thing. i’ll try to explain what i’m looking for a little better, maybe that’ll help…
if i’m already online, and i put up an away message, i want a program that will require a password before coming back from being away. meaning to be able to use AIM again i have to enter a password. NOT the sign-on password, thats not what i mean. if anyone here happens to have MsgPlus for MSN Messenger, that’s what i’m lookin for, just for AIM instead of for MSN
oh well i guess i’m out of luck
