I just put a Peach Berry Cobbler in the oven, that was Great Grandmothers recipe..mmmmmm…smells soooo good…I had to share it with everyone…hehehe
Peach Berry Cobbler
Filling….
2 cups sugered sliced fresh peaches (I have used frozen when not in season)
1 cup blue berries, or a mix
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 Table butter
1 Table lemon juice
1 Table cornstarch
1/2 cup water
Cobbler Crust…
1 cup flour
1/2 cup gran. sugar
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 salt
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup soft butter or marg.
Mix first three ingred. Add fruit. Cook and stir until mixture thickens, add butter & lemon juice. Pour into 9×13 pan.
Cobbler Crust…
Sift together dry ingred. Add milk and butter all at once:beat smooth. Spread over fruit.
Topping…Sprinkle with 2 T sugar and 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Bake at 350 for about 30 minutes…
Serve with vanalla icecream…Yummmmmm
