Netti
MemberWell, I still think that if someone is invisible, there is a reason they are invisible. Maybe if you pm’d them and they didn’t answer, or they have not pm’d you, there is a reason!!!!

MemberQuote:quote:Originally posted by lindeyIs there anyway that you can see people that are online appearing invisible on yahoo messenger?
If u msg someone, sometimes even without them answering they will show on netstat, and u can also use this in reverse to tell if they are offline, status checkers won’t show people who are invisible as being online, you could also ping their ip to see if they are online or not, what i would also do if i was in full stalker mode, LMAO, is make an opposite sex id to them, with a really hot pic on the profile, and be all flirty and what not see if u can get a response or view them on netstat. If you got REALLY BORED you could steal their password, and log into messenger on their id, and see if they log right back on and boot you off
lol

ummm okay…that’s a really pathetic thing to do. Understand that there’s some people who log on invisible because they are busy or don’t really wanna talk. Why’s that so hard to understand?
That doesn’t give you the right to invade their privacy and steal passwords. geez. that’s freaky

Agreed….really funny…Gee..do you also find it funny when people’s personal information is sold all over the Internet Johnson? I sure do… by golly…that’s a gosh darn gut buster! And don’t get me started on stalkers…they are just a laugh riot! (PLEASE notice my sarcasm for those of you who have not seen my posts previously!) I don’t think we really appreciate your sense of humour to the fullest here Johnson… I have to say nothing that you have LOL’d or LOAO’d at so far have I found in the least bit entertaining. And I would venture to guess there are many others who feel the same as I. Besides which, you really don’t add anything new to your posts. Again, it seems to me that you are just trying to make it to Senior status on the site in the shortest amout of time possible….to get your jollies is it?? LOL……THAT’S SO FUNNY!

MemberJohnson, in response to your post, I understand that you are attempting to be helpful by divulging “secrets” and sharing your knowledge of Yahoo, and I thank you for that. The only thing that concerns me is the fact that there are many who read these posts and sharing certain information may be detrimental to others. I feel that we all have a RESPONSIBILITY to be selective with what we share. YOU may have good intentions but you’ll never know for sure if the person you’re answering does as well. Bottom line…let’s all try to be discerning with the information we post.:)

MemberJohnson, you’re a smart guy, I know you can figure it out…. but let me just add, that about 10 years ago, someone like you, gave out information to someone who he thought he was helping. He felt sorry for him and helped him hack some info on an account, got personal information and paid a visit to the owner of that hacked account. A bad scene took place and people were hurt when the person showed up at their door. All I’m saying Johnson, is that even though your attentions may be good, as you yourself said, most everyone lies in chat, you can’t trust anyone…. so I guess I just don’t understand why you would think that helping people hack info, lock accounts, etc. is really helping at all.
I agree with Poe, and if you are really here to help Jackson, then that is wonderful. But then think what the consequences COULD be, of the information you are about to give out. I am not saying you would never show up at someone’s house to cause harm, but not everyone is like you. Some of the people are there are Sick, Johnson…. really really sick.

MemberOk, if you want to talk about privacy i will start there, if you are online, right away you are losing your privacy, there’s so many ways to find info on someone, I am not telling you this so u can use it against others, im putting it out there so you will be INFORMED, knowledge is power, i used an exploit to get the admin from this sites info, and i made a post that he deleted, and ima have him edit it an put it back up, if i scare all you people with truth, well that’s sad, you want to know some of the things that go on, i am informing you, and also i do understand all too well why some of these things scare you, when most people are threatened, they will be afraid, because they are very ignorant of things, nothing wrong with that, because sometimes things do get out of hand and there can be “real” confrontations, maybe u could call some of my methods SHOCK therapy, lol, im not a bad guy, I have repeatedly said that i am here to help anyone whos being stalked or w/e , i got a lot of friends online, and im always helpin them out in anyway i can. Theres two kinds of people in this world, those who love me and those who hate me, i accept that, but be careful if you try to confront me, when all im doing is trying to help, netti you respect my opinion, theres some others here who don’t, im not gonna mention any names, *cough* oreo *cough*

MemberJohnson, you’re right, “knowledge is power”…it’s also a double-edged sword. When information is posted in these forums, everyone who reads them becomes armed with power. Power to protect oneself and power to hurt others. I’ll say once again that we have a responsibility to be selective with what we share here. It’s not a matter of being “frightened” or “scared” as you say, that is not the issue at hand. It’s a matter of NOT contributing to making harmful information easily available. As an expert with internet chat programs (and you really seem very knowledgable) you have the ability to explain what precautions we should take without exposing the way the actual invasion of privacy is executed. I am sure you realize that many will use that information to their advantage. 🙂 (hope this helps to settle all of this…)

Ok Johnson, we agree that you are knowledgeable, but threatening members is not going to win you any friends at this forum. Especially to a member I consider to be very nice. This has gotten way off topic now and I think Snugs should lock this up!

MemberI have never in any way/shape/form threatened anyone, people get all defensive so i crack a few jokes at their expense, I don’t make empty threats, and i don’t really mess with people anymore, i have mentioned this more then once, It takes a lot to piss me off, I don’t think theres anything wrong with going a lil off topic, this forum needs some SPICE in it, you people are too freakin serious, you need to lighten up, this is the internet, suppose to be having fun, i have fun by challenging people, gettin a reaction out of them, YaWn
