I haven’t Pirates yet and I was wondering what you guys think of it before I see it. I’ve heard it’s amazing and someone told me it wasn’t good. I’m not sure about it yet. I saw the first and it was pretty good. Is the second one more gruesome? I didn’t really understand the plot from the commercials either. So is it worth seeing? Thanks!

There’s lots of action, lots of weird and slightly disturbing sea-type pirates and enough of a story, if you can follow it, to make it worth sitting through. Definitely an enjoyable afternoon flick.

July 30, 2006 at 12:08 am #148979detn8rParticipantI went and seen it on the Friday it came out. ….. what a mistake that was.
Every show was sold out, but I ended up getting tickets for the 11:30 (pm) showing. There is nothing like getting there 45 minutes early and STILL having to sit in the bottom seating…
With that said, because of the crampt seeting, the move seemed MUCH more long than it should have been (although, I still think it was too long in general).
Overall, it was decent. I mean, I enjoy Johnny Depp’s acting, especially in these movies so it was worthy of spending $10.95 on.
It became the most watched movie in the world, no? Most profitable movie? Damn.. cant wait until the third chapter comes out.. *yaay*
August 22, 2006 at 4:40 pm #148982CratimaMemberI didn’t like the movie. A movie, to be one of my favourites, has to inspire me, to move me, to shake me. This one had all the ingredients, but the recipe seems to have been bad. No salt & pepper. 🙁
August 23, 2006 at 3:43 am #148981drainMemberI finally saw it. I thought the special effects took away from the movie. And it seemed to drag on a little bit. I stopped keeping track of what happening after the millionth fight scene.
