MemberIs it possible to play .asx files in Winamp, or other ‘Windows Media’ streaming formats? Because I know my Winamp can play streaming media that are in ‘Real’ formats, such as .ra.

MemberAs far as I know, no. WinAMP can’t play ASX files.

MemberThe new winamp is amazing. Especially the built in milkdrop visualization. I love it. See if this helps: (I didn’t bother reading it) 🙂

MemberHmm…quite a lot of information. Still doesnt work for some reason, maybe I’m doing something wrong.
I’m trying to listen to this station:

MemberHere ya Go. The .asx stream only redirects you to a .wma — which is supported by winamp. I saved your link to disk, and opened it with notepad… inside was this: “http://38.119.100.188/cftr”. To make this work and for future reference; Add ‘/.wma’ to it.
Go into winamp and open this as a URL:

MemberOh. Ok. I get it now. It works fine. Thanks a million!
Btw, I tried it the first time in Winamp and it caused an illegal operation, because I have that Listen-To plugin installed. I uninstalled it and it worked fine. I’d still like to have it again though, so I can show what songs I’m listening to. This is what the details show:
Quote:quote:WINAMP caused a divide error in module GEN_LISTENTO.DLL at 017f:01162126.

MemberYeah. You have to download the “triplej.asx” file and open it with notepad to find the URL and add /.wma
I did this for you, so just add this URL in Winamp and enjoy! http://media4.abc.net.au/triplej/.wma
