MemberThe browser I use is FireFox. It blocks popup messages in addition to having fewer exploits than Internet Explorer. Check it out here: http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

Participant*just as a side note*: B0mber, you might want to start using the edit button instead of doubling up on posts…it makes the boards a lot neater and a lot easier to read. Plus the mods seem to like it that way. Just hit
next time you need to correct or add something to a post, okie? And I’ve heard that secretmaker is nice if you can handle it
and Pop Up Blocker 6.0 Also.Of course, I don’t use either, or anything really…but I’ve heard those are nice.

ParticipantI agree with BuddhaSmile… I use Firefox as my browser with the Yahoo companion toolbar and so far have had NO unwanted pop-ups, and it doesn’t block the ‘good’ pop-ups that you want to see. Plus I like Firefox a LOT better than IE.

ParticipantMaxthon, a shell for IE (http://www.maxthon.com) also has a built in popup blocker.
I’d use FF if it’s tabbing system wasn’t so bad.

I second that motion; I’m a regular user of Maxthon, and I love it. No popups ANYWHERE, unles you want ’em, of course…;)

Memberi recently just switched to firefox, like this past weekend, and I really enjoy the pop-up blocker. if there is a site you like going to, you can always set the settings to allow pop-ups from certain sites.

ParticipantInstall Google Toolbar. That has the best pop up blocker in my opinion

Memberdoes that pop-up blocker make your computer slow?
December 9, 2004 at 4:41 am #107158David
ParticipantNone of them make your computer slow, unless it is extremely underpowered or adware ridden to begin with.

ParticipantUse google toolbar for Internet Explorer. Or if you want to actually experience the web without having your system infested with spyware, try using Firefox.
