Participant*wanders by* oh hello there… *tilt* If you’re still looking for something, Bronxy…here’s a little something I hear that works…let me know if it does:
http://javascript.internet.com/generators/popup-window.html
It’s a generator. You just put the filename you want to pop up, click the box for “yes” and if you want it automatic or on a click. Then follow the instructions in the generated code box.
Let us know how it goes.

Memberas of SP2 and firefox, that way is obsolete, only way to have a popup, is using flash.
Now a pop-up is very annoying, is there not another way you could implement the survey?May 21, 2005 at 1:34 am #113991Jeff Hester
KeymasterWhy not just create the popup in your actual website? Nobody loves popups and if popup software is installed your survey would either be blocked, or simply be blocked by anyone visiting. I know this not solve your problem but it is just a suggestion considering popups are of the devil. Try implementing a survey/poll on the side of your website, people are bound to notice it more rather than seeing it as something annoying.

That doesn’t work on my computer just to let you know my computer just blocks it.

Participantno matter what codes for popups anyone may suggest, popups are not the way to go if you want users to actually pay attention to your content. if a site produces a popup, either my browser will block it, or i’ll close it immediately.
if you really want people to see this survey or any content at all for that matter, just embed it in your page somewhere. popups are a horrible way to do it.

Keymastercan someone link to a working example of a flash object used to create a popupwindow? the examples listed here do not seem to work. if you are having problems with flash popups, or any other type of advertising i suggest you visit http://xrl.us/noad/. the links to filters provided there seem to remove most all advertisements i see. also http://forevergeek.com/open_source/blocking_flashbased_popups_in_firefox.php seems to list a way to block popups created from flash. i can’t really test it since, well, i have yet to encounter one.
