This seems a lot like this thread from one year ago. Post your pet pic
EDIT: And I just remembered we can join threads….so that’s what happened when you wonder where your thread went…I’m going to be merging them so all of this stays in one place. ๐

Odd…I searched for “pet” in all the forums, and nothing came up in Off-Topic *shrug* Oh well, at least I was able to get my post in. ๐July 24, 2005 at 6:44 pm #73691chikenkickerMemberheres my 2 spoiled dogs
they’re begging for food in that picture
July 24, 2005 at 11:33 pm #73653OreoMemberI should really update with some photos of our indoor kitties. The one in my original photo was chased away by a bigger Tom ๐ But our indoor kitties are quite happy and one has become quite tubby.

July 25, 2005 at 1:49 am #73672colinMemberWow, I looked at my post from almost a year ago, and my grammar was terrible. No punctuation, no capitalization, words spelled incorrectly. Anyways, we now have 2 more kittens, both boys. One is gray with black feet, and one is orange.
July 25, 2005 at 4:07 pm #73669AwesomeSauceParticipantHere is my dog Tommy. He’s becoming an old dog, but inside he’s still a baby. ๐ Me and my folks love him very much.
I also have a cat named Sox… but I don’t have a picture of her at the moment. I’ll post a picture when I can though.
July 26, 2005 at 1:04 pm #73684gossipingraeMemberWe had to put my dog down when she was only 4 years old, because she got really sick. And I don’t have any other pets.
I babysit my neighbor’s dog a lot. He is a Golden Retriever named Finnegan. If I could figure out how to put the picture on here, I will. It’s downloaded on my computer, so could someone kindly tell me how?

Then you can click on one of the Browse buttons to browse for the image file on your computer, then click “Upload” and there will be a thumbnail in your post that links to the enlarged image.
Or you can use another host, such as ImageShack.us, upload it there and then give us the link. ๐
July 26, 2005 at 7:36 pm #73654OreoMemberOr, when you post, go advanced, and then upload the photo as an attachment. ๐ It’s slightly easier than getting a entire account for one photo. ๐
July 26, 2005 at 11:35 pm #73685gossipingraeMemberOkay, let’s try to do this again.
This is Finnegan. He is my neighbor’s dog, and I babysit him sometimes when they go away on vacation. He is the most lovable animal on this planet, and he will cuddle up with you wherever you go.
Thanks AwesomeSauce for your help!
July 29, 2005 at 11:31 pm #73664RabidKittenParticipantTommy is -adorable!- I have always loved longhaired dogs, with the fun patterns and colors. *purr purr purr* Never been a fan of the typical solid color dogs or the short hairs, but I’ve known some nice ones.
I want to get a female wolf/malimute/husky sometime, just because they’re gorgous, or border collie, and if nothing else, a papillon *giggle* I’m such a girl sometimes *wink*
Anywho…as if anyone questions my geekdom as it is…I couldn’t find pictures of all the pets, but here are the majority of them. Still missing is Draeya the Senegal parrot, the four breeding birds, Squeek the Fischer/Peach faced lovebird hybrid, Benny the Dog and Gringo the White Main Coon Cat. And Chica is no longer that young, that’s a baby picture, she looks more like this female (in the red, the green is a male), except more purple.
But, without further delay…
August 10, 2005 at 7:22 pm #73676LucifinaMemberThis is my beautiful baby girl Pebbles. She is about 17 years old in human years that’s 80+ in cat years. I’ve had Pebbles since she was a kitten. A few months ago I noticed she wasn’t eating very well and just wasn’t herself. I took her to the vet and found out she had kidney disease causing me to give her an iv twice a day and other medications. However, there is not a cure for this even If I would decided for her to have a kidney transplant the disease could resurface; these medications were just to prolong her life. The doctor told me she didn’t expect Pebbles to make it til August though some did. This is a very hard time in my life filled with guilt, lonliness, and much sadness because I’m losing my baby girl. Pebbles and other pets are not just animals to us, they are apart of our lives and families. In this I find a touch of hypocrisy, humans we do anything for, but when our pets become ill we do try but always have the resort of euthanising them. Pebbles is now to the point of hardly being able to stand, she cannot eat without some help at times, I can’t give her the iv because her body retains fluid, the only reason she ate was because of medicine to make her, and she had high blood pressure medicine as well. Also, she can’t control her bladder. Her high blood pressure has caused blindness; I believe she had a small stroke not too long ago. She was trying to jump on the kitchen chair, missed, and fell to the ground, I had to come and pick her up off the floor and place her back on the chair. After that she no longer purred, got on my bed, or really meowed.
Unfortunately, this is my last day with her; tomorrow she will cross the “Rainbow Bridge” and wait for me to join her again without pain, where she is always warm with a full belly. I do believe animals have souls and we will be reunited. I am now choosing which picture I want to put in her urn…either the one above or another I have. I will always love her, she is my baby, and I will be very lonely, but I know that she wants to go home now…mostly by her looks she gives me and her begging to go outside to try to run away (she was never much of an outside cat). Thank you for letting me share her with you. My heart and prayers go to those who have lost a loved one (of any kind).
August 10, 2005 at 9:26 pm #73655OreoMemberI am really sorry for your loss…but remember this is the best thing for her. She is not living the life she should at the moment. I believe too that we are reunited with our pets in the great beyond. I sometimes think that their “being” “life force” or whatever you want to call it is with us in times of great need. Sometimes I have found myself thinking of animals I have lost in the oddest times…and you know they are there with you. She will never really leave you…remember that. You obviously have a strong connection with her and something little like passing into the next world does not break those bonds. I will be here if you need to talk…I’m sure others will be here too. I cetainly know how you must be feeling, but remember she will have lots of other kitties to play with cohorts with whom to cause mischief.
August 11, 2005 at 2:10 am #73686gossipingraeMemberLuci and Oreo, my mom had an intuitive reading done with a psychic (for lack of better wording choice), where the lady had opened the channel between those living and those who had crossed over. The psychic said she saw a dog, who was our dog who had to be put down when she was only 4.
Luci, my dog Lady had similar problems as your kitty did. I too realized that my dog wasn’t eating right and was shying away from people when normally, she was an active dog. I took her to the vet and I had to leave her there. It broke my heart, and the next day my parents went to see Lady at the vet. They said she had some kind of disease called “cocker spaniel hepatitis” or something. Her liver was swelling inside her body, and her blood was poisoning her. My family was goign to do a blood transfusion, but that would only buy her time…so my parents had her put down. It really hurt to see her go..she was my dog and so much a part of the family. When my dad went to visit her, he had to walk her with an IV bag attached. I cried so much.
But yes, I think humans and animals will meet up in another world. It sounds so beautiful.
