MemberAwwww *hugs* to all my BB members and thank you for your kind words, wisdom, and understanding. I’m sorry I didn’t post sooner, but I just couldn’t…I’m sure you’ll understand. I am doing better and can’t wait to get her back from the crematory. I am very happy to say that Pebbles passed very quickly and peacfully. She knew it was time to go that day, because from the time I put her in her place on my bed until I picked her up to put her in the carrier she stayed in one position and did not respond to me other than when I spoke to and/or petted her…she waged her tail a tiny bit. I’m usually ok in the daytime, but at night it’s the hardest. I’m ok though. Thank you again for being there through all my temper tantrums and rubbing ppl the wrong way.

ParticipantOh honey, you couldn’t rub us the wrong way if you tried…heh…even us felines. We’re awfully resiliant you know.
I know it can be hard to let a pet go. I’ve had many that I’ve had to do the same for, and it’s never easy. Once, a neighbor poisoned my dog with antifreeze, he turned all gray (He was a black rat terrior with a white strip on his forehead) and stopped eating and then had kidney failure. I’ve also had to say goodbye to cats.
Number Two was my orange tabby (orange coincidentally being my favorite color), and my roomate brought him home when he was a kitten. She didn’t care for him, and he and I immediately clicked. I know how it can be to have that bond with an animal, like a familiar of some kind. Whenever I was upset, he’d be there and follow me until I sat down, he’d purr and massage my lap trying to make my feel better and just know he was there…he was a great great companion to me. Though…when I moved, my roomate said that he was ‘her’ cat and wouldn’t let me take him…so…I had to let him go. Not the same as death, but I almost wonder if it isn’t worse, because now when I see him, he’s gotten fat and unhealthy, lazy and ignored…*sigh*
oy vey. But…*nod* certain things happen for a reason…and Pebbles and yourself will definately be together again, you’re kin like that *little smile* Be well, sweetheart. *hug*

Member:crying: Sami, I cannot express how much your post meant to me. I was having a really bad day in coping and when I read your post…geez *sniff* it just made me remember all good memories instead of bad ones. I know Pebbles is watching over me and her spirit is with me. I swear she still pushes me off my pillow at night, lol. I am really sorry about your loss. I can’t understand people who would intentionally harm another living being and it makes me sick. Of course, lord only knows what I would have done if I would have caught the person who poisoned my dog (Spice) or anyone who would have tried to harm Pebs.
Thanks to all of you again and *hugs and kisses* to all:D

MemberI know what you mean Luc. When people harm animals, especially ones who cannot defend themselves, it makes me disgusted. That, and hearing on the news when grown men and women sexually abuse and kill children. Ugh.

MemberThis is an updated photo of the “kitten” in my last post…with the link Tigerblade gave to this post…I had to look through it again. Our “kitten” He has a thing for sleeping in bowls…no matter where they are, his most recent “bowl” is on top of our fridge!

Participantheh, Oreo, you have to remember to include the colon in your http:// , otherwise the link just redirects to the w3c’s section on http protocol.
that cat looks comfy though.

ParticipantWe’ve had a variety of pets in our house. Our current ones are: Boogie – a button quail. His ladies Boot and Scoot died about a year ago, so he’s all alone and calls out to them often :crying: Speedy (rest in peace) – the best hamster ever! Never bites, always happy to see you, when he escapes, makes his way all the way upstairs and into a closet. When we were on vacation once he spent the whole week out, living on birdseed, dog food and licking up water from the shower. Very resourceful guy! And Stanley – the sign at the shelter said “Doberman-mix” – I’ve never seen a 22 pound Dobe! He has the markings of one but the temperament of a terrier. Grrrrrr. But he does keep things interesting. He was a “replacement” for the best dog in the world who we had to put down because cancer was eating her up – extremely sad . . . we miss her soooooo much!

ParticipantHere is a picture of my dog Brian. As of today, i’ve had him for 2 years. He’s the only dog i’m not scared of because he is very loyal and will never grow more than how big he currently is! 🙂

When we got Stanley (as a puppy) it was a toss-up between him and Toby, a 5-year-old adorable small poodle . . . but the “doberman” won the decision makers’ heart; and the rest is history.

(I’m not too familar with dog types and when they told me poodle i kept imagining french poodles, but then discovered those were different and mine was just your plain old poodle!) 😛 And he is indeed very cuddly and soft, he just got a hair cut a few weeks back, so i’ll be sure to take another pic of him once it all grows back so you can see how cuddly he can get!

And yours obviously have great personalities . . . looks like Macy’s in attack mode and the other one is in stealth mode. Gotta love kitties!
Have you heard the song Kitten is Angry? MrEggsalad posted links in the what are you listening to section.
“Kitten Is Angry by Lemon Demon . . . There is even a Flash Animation of it!”
