Went to London for a weekend break, I have been there many times but it does not matter how many times I go it still takes my breath away when I get off the train. London just ouzes out excitement and history all wrapped up in one big parcel. With the recent attacks must say I was a little worried as we were at Kings Cross, and were on the underground nearly all afternoon, but lots of police activity. And the English are great like that we get on with it.
First stop drop of cases and change, went to Covent Garden to a place called Henry’s
Nice place lots to pick to eat etc, Covent Garden is just amazing busy and buzzing with activity.I chilled there with my friends and we shared a bottle of wine or 3 lol and met up with an old friend from Ireland that I used to work with and she had not changed a bit. She always says we have a good crack (Irish for good laugh) and we did.
We then hit the clubs and had a good boogie, we went to a big club called GAY oh boy lol, no I am not gay but the crowd of guys I was with, all were. But me and my buddie Nessy had such a excellent time. No hassle from men at all, which in a club is just not the norm, in this club we could boogie our hearts out with no pick up lines! Marvelous haha
The next day was Harrods, for a shopping spree, and my friend had a consultation in the perfume department, lucky thing! Harrods is beautiful but unless your a millionaire it’s quite hard to buy much!
We went on the Sunday morning to a market called Camden Market, just great.
The shops and little roads went on for miles, if you wanted to eat they had every type of food you could imagine, for hardly any money. I got my son a top from a rasta shop he loves anything with Bob Marley on. The hand made silver rings and bracelets went for miles. I have a thing about candles so was in heaven with all the candle stalls. Sami would have loved it with all the little stalls there. I thought of her quite a bit as there was a huge spritual section and tarrot cards galore, white witch heaven :0)Due to some unfortunate reasons we could not do more but had a great time, and could not do more historical visits but next time!
