What kind of education must you have to be a preschool teacher? I want to apply for this job and it says if you love working with children then call us, but nothing about education requirements. I wasn’t sure if you had to have a bachelor’s for this or not. Thanks!

It all depends on the school! Some that are not regulated by the school districts really do just require a high school diploma or GED and a love of children. Often these are daycare type facilities. Some require an associates degree in Early Childhood Education, and still others a bachelor’s. If that’s all the ad said, it’s probably one of the former. One great thing about working in that industry, is that if they offer tuition reimbursement for classes towards a degree in ECE – that’s a great way to get your degree (or further it) while having someone else pay for it!
Good luck to you! If you sincerely have a love of lil kids… pursue that!
