I guess there should be an option to send private message to a user.
Sending email is not appropriate in some cases.Prtivate messaging was once a feature of BigBlueBall Forums, it was excluded because it is waste of space to save PMs on this server when email can do the same…
What is it that email can’t do and a PM can?
responding to? An email you wish to respond to then reveals your email.
Possibly, someone create a “block” freature, and maybe after a week all messages be deleted?

This is possible, but do you think it’s a very good idea to have it on a very popular site? It would be used very often and will use more space…
Actually, as far as my knowledge goes the feature was originally taken out because it was abused too much. Correct me if I’m wrong.

- Replying PM frequently is easier than opening your mail box and replying an email.
You can perhaps reduce the number of PMs that can be stored to lets say 10?
