Hi, was wondering if anyone else is having the same problem? I haven’t been able to sign in to Yahoo Messenger or access any Yahoo site for at least 7 hours now, I think… And when I try to ping yahoo.com (or mail., etc) it always times out. Is it just me? I can access all other domains fine, and my internet connection’s at 800kbps. From what I can tell, it’s really just Yahoo…=/
I just tried myself and logged into Yahoo! Messenger fine. Try it again and see if it’s working for you now.
Sounds like a local issue as i’ve had no issues with yahoo europe or us.
Are you at home or a college or workplace that could block yahoo servers?
Also, keep in mind that other things may be affecting the connection to yahoo.
When you do a windows update to automatically update your Windows, or your firewall or anti-virus, these updates can have an affect on other programs in your computer.
There are times when Windows does an update, that update will turn your internal firewall ON if you had turned it off.
If you still can’t get it working, my suggestion would be to close everything. Turn off your firewall, anti-virus, etc. Then see if it will let you connect.
If not, another problem is that when the anti-virus does a scan of your computer it removed a vital part of yahoo. Because of this you may need to go and reinstall yahoo again to fix the problem.
Something like this is trial and error, to see what’s happening.
