For an hour now, adding contacts was fine.
I was trying to transfer all my contacts from an earlier account to a present one. Just so you know, I was adding each one of them one-by-one.
then suddenly I can’t add anyone anymore.
During the add contact part instead of saying “contact was added successfully to your messenger list” it says something like “the operation took longer than normal to respond, please try again later”

-I tried using other accounts and it worked perfectly for them (this is during the time that I can’t add with my present account)is there some kind of limit or something? and that I just have to wait? or is there really a problem with my messenger?

I’m not aware of any contact list limits. I know Windows Live Meessenger has a limit on the number of pending contacts you can have, but I’ve never seen anything like that for Yahoo.
That said, Yahoo servers are flaky at best. It’s probably a server glitch. I’d give it a little while and try again.
I know I’ve had times where it takes 2-3 days to be able to add a contact (and time after time trying to do it.)
