MemberI started having problems signing onto MSN Messenger over the last 12 hours. This is the situation.
I am unable to sign in using my primary e-mail address on all three of my Windows computer. I am unable to sign into web-based MSN Messenger, and unable to sign in with Gaim on my Linux machine. The problem occured simultaneously on all computers. 🙁
However, I can sign in using other e-mail addresses.
Is it possible that something caused my account to be disabled on the MSN Network? How do I re-active my account? I’ve already tried resetting my password on http://www.passport.com
Thanks.
Further information: I’m running MSN Messenger versions 7.0, 7.5, 7.5 on the 3 Windows computers. I’ve tried to:
– register various *.dll’s
– disable all three firewalls
– disable anti-virus & anti-spyware software
– flush my DNS
– clear IE temporary files, cookies, …October 23, 2005 at 12:12 pm #132213greentruck
MemberI have the same problem as you. Only my account doesn’t work, all the other accounts do. I contacted MSN about it and i’m awaiting a reply from them. I will let you know when they reply.

MemberI also have the problem too on my main account which I use. I also have msn plus with various plugins. I wonder if MSN have blocked the people who have used MSN plus. What annoys me the most about this is that it has been down all day and also on their service status page at http://status.messenger.msn.com/Status.aspx it says that “All systems are stable and running. ” when obviously they are not.

KeymasterAre any of you still having this problem? As of 7:30 AM, I’ve signed on to MSN with two different accounts and both worked perfectly.

MemberHad the same problems for almost 48 hours now….service is not available to main account, but other acounts and new accounts seem to be connecting without any problem. Occaisionally had a code added to the “Service unavailable,,,,” ….. 81000314. Dont know if it has any significance. I was able to log on briefly last night around 1,00am GMT for a short time only. Hope MSN sort this problem out soon, the only comfort is that I am not the only person in this situation.

MemberI had this problem on 1 of my 3 accounts. Simply go to your Control Panel and select the Add/Remove Programs option. Scroll down to MSN Messenger and click OK. This will give you 2 options. Pick the one that says Repair Files and you are good to go. No restart needed. 😎 Hope this helps!!
