I know this probably sounds really stupid, but is there not another service that ‘does’ dynamic avatars that we could test? At least we would find out if it is vB blocking it.
December 23, 2006 at 8:56 pm #155705SpikeMemberThis is true, though I don’t know of one offhand. Then again, it may very well be as simple as that “L33tsig.net” and vBulletin don’t play well together? Or maybe there’s a conflicting plugin/mod installed here at BBB? A number of factors could be the answer.
December 23, 2006 at 11:03 pm #155701detn8rParticipantI registered on another vB forum and attempted to use both GG’s image and an image from the account of another who posted on leetsig’s forum. Neither worked, and both came back invalid.
Doom9’s Forum – Powered by vBulletin
This forum looks pretty laid back (not too many mods and the such) SO, it looks like as if most of us have been thinking, vB is choking on the fact it’s dynamic.
December 24, 2006 at 5:22 pm #155708.PJParticipantThing is, at l33tsig, we don’t keep the image so it doesn’t show with a .php extension, it uses a .png, .jpg or .gif exentsion.
Yes it is dynamically created using php, but our images do work on vBullentins for sigs, so its got to be something with VB AV settings, we use our L33TAv on our forums (IPB) and they seem to work, so it might be something to do with VB / dynamic images.
I will create a new av out of a dynamic image, just a basic one, and see if this works.

December 25, 2006 at 10:59 pm #155706SpikeMemberPJ: It doesn’t matter what the extension of the image is, vBulletin still has the power to detect whether or not it was created using a PHP script. Unless we sway the Jelsoft Dev Team, I don’t think we’re going to get this functionality, ever.
