Hi,
I have a desktop with WinXp and I have installed MSN and Ymessenger.No preoblem with installation but I can not login.As soon As I enter my username and password it starts to loging but nothing happens and I have to close the window.SAme problem with Ymessenger but SKYPE works well.I’ve checked the computer for virouses and Internetexplorer works well.Welcome to BigBlueBall. Can you give us some more information please, such as what sort of Internet connection do you have, and are you running a firewall or anything which may prevent both applications from connecting?
Thanks for your email.Actually we are four people and live in an appartement and have a router and each of us has connected via a wireless network card.
How can I check if there is any a firewall?Or if it is active?

I understand you have (three) other computers in there. Does MSN Messenger and Yahoo work fine at the others?
If they are also having problems it most likely is something within your router. A hardware reset or upgrading to the latest router firmware might fix it. It is also important that UPnP is turned on.
If you didn’t get it to work or have problems doing the steps above please tell us where you get stucked and what model of router you have.Hi,
Thank you for your reply.The others do not have this problem at all.The strange thins is SKYPE which is a messenger but Ymessenger and MSN not.
