I have a Lyksys wireless 802.11B connection through my cable company. We have a router and 4 computers hooked up to it. I personally am using the WUSB11 which hooks up to my USB port. My connection is fine. However, I am never logged on to AIM for more than 4 hours without getting signed off. For example, I’ll wake up in the morning after a long nights sleep, and AIM will say I have been online for 8 minutes. I check over my connection and it is perfect. Also, I can’t stay idle longer than about an hour. I will check my idle on someone else’s computer and it will be off. This problem seems to be happening with all of the computers in the house. We just got a brand new router so I doubt that is the problem. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem? I would appreciate the help. Thanks.
I’ve read about windows xp having bad support for wi-fi connections so maybe its due to the operating system.
i was at best buy talking to one of the employees about it, if you have a 2.4 gigaherz wireless phone, that interupts with the wireless routers. sorry for my spelling errors.
