hey there,
i’m currently stuck using computers at the university where all we have are user accounts to access the systems, and when I try to install any version of yahoo messenger on it, since it causes changes to the systems, it asks me to log on with administrator rights, which I can’t. is there any way I can override these and go ahead with the full installation? need an urgent solution please!!! 🙁
thanks
Nope.
If you just want messaging, put TIM onto a floppy disk.
If you are after chat too, put YahELite onto a floppy disk instead.

In addition to the limits on installing files, there could be limits on connections you make out of the network, so they may still fail.
