ICQtroubled
MemberI posted this in the online indicator forums also. I have been using the icq online indicator with icq lite for about 8 months in my online auctions without any problems. About two days ago everyone on the auction site who uses the indicators has had thiers stop working. Here is mine…
http://web.icq.com/whitepages/online?icq=306553317&img=6Anyone know if it might be something browser related or is the OI system down? I am not a computer wiz by any means but can usually figure things out or at least work around them. Right now my sales have dropped off due to me having about 200 auctions up and everyone thinking I am offline. I can unlist and relist but that costs fees. Could some of you use my icq link above and see if it works for you?
Also are there any other online indicators that might do a better more reliable job? Thank you.

MemberAs per my question about other online indicators, msn, aol, or perhaps something business oriented which requires a fee as long as it is reliable? Anything like that out there? I have spent the last 16 hours looking all over the place and found hardly anything.

MemberHave you tried http://www.onlinestatus.org ? The software this forum was intended for?

MemberMagistyk yes I tried that, problem was I am fairly sure by now the problem is on Icq’s end and creating an icq html there ended up with the same results. I do have msn messenger(use it for my emails for the auctions) but the website we do our auctions on will not allow any outside links to our emails in our auctions and the msn html includes the email address.
Are there any business related msg systems out there that might perhaps include an online html indicator also? I do thank you for the reply, and I did spend about 16 hours looking over the last two days and had not much luck, I am hoping I am just looking in the wrong place. Although the jabber.com site looked promising but the website didnt explain itslef real well on this topic. Any ideas?

MemberSorry for all the posts on this one topic. Is the ICQ link in my first post working for anyone else, please click on it and repl yif it is or not ok? It may just be my browser. I tried using another computer on another line and had the same thing, the http://web.icq.com/whitepages/online?icq=306553317&img=6 would not load with that one either.

Are there business oriented online indicators out there anywhere? Thanks.February 11, 2004 at 8:20 pm #85291ICQtroubled
MemberHello everyone, well it seems ICQ OLI is down again, costing me a lot of sales in the past few days. Anyone familiar with any other type of indicator, perhaps one that uses msn mesenger? I tried the msn messenger but it shows me user ID and the auction site does not allow that. Perhaps a professional one? I found someone using something like this.
http://server.iad.liveperson.net/hc/33899467/?cmd=repstate&site=33899467&imageUrl=Persons image URL goes here.I asked liveperson.com about it but as told they did not offer such an OLI, any ideas? And thank you.

MemberOt perhaps I can use the msn one which I finally got to work, the only problem is the msn oli shows your email address when you hover over the button, any way around this?
