Problems with logging into Yahoo messenger.

I just got a older pc for my son and I downloaded Yahoo 5.0 on it. I can’t login. I keeps saying it’s connecting. I have miranda downloaded on the pc and it does connect to yahoo. Can someone help with this?

5.0 is a very old version and I am not sure that Yahoo! even supports it. What OS and version is running on your son’s PC? Have you tried connecting via Web messenger?

The OS is win98. I know someone who has Yahoo 5.0 and it does work. Where can I get Yahoo 5.6?

Went to the web site but it tells me to go to messenger.yahoo.com. They only have new version yahoo there. The highest version of yahoo mess. on oldversion.com is 5.0
