MemberThis isn’t allowed in most ISP’s ToS… I was running an IRC server, then I read Optimum Online (my cable internet provider)’s ToS and it says no servers of any kind. Just pointing out…

This won’t generate that much bandwidth, you figure about 10k per page, times 50 users a day, no ISP looks that hard at their logs

MemberThis is a nice and neat add-on Dave, I’m interested in beta test it, just like I beta test all your other programs. 😀 I am running WinXP Pro, as you already know. 🙂

MemberThis sounds really neat that you are making it for all those people out there that don’t know HTML, so they can still customize it however they want. AIM minus from Sniip3r.com already runs a webserver for you to host your subprofile on, only requirement with that is you still have to create the HTML pages yourself…along with the program modifying AIM in other ways.

MemberJust wanted to say that Dave Is having me experiment with making a few HTML templates that some of you can use in your profiles. I’ll have a few done in a week or so but that doesn’t mean he will want to use them.

ParticipantErrm, you may have downloaded it in the 3mins before I realized I forgot to add the database.
Check to make sure you see the EXE, and data.mdb in the same folder….better yet, just redownload it. 🙂
Sorry about that.

MemberNo problem.
What do I put in my profile to link to the server?
February 18, 2004 at 3:52 am #49825David
Participant<a href="http://IP:PORT” target=”_blank”>Link Text
But you need to make sure you go to File -> Options and set the root directory to c:profileservrootroot (or wherever you extracted the root.zip to.)

MemberOkay..
I have an option to use one of two IPs.
The first is the IP my router gives, and when I use that, it works for me, but no one else.
Then there is the IP your server finds. When I use that, I can’t view the profile, and niether can anyone else. So what should I do?
