I hope someone can help me.
I got a new Gateway laptop for Christmas. I downloaded the latest version of Messenger from the MSN website, and was able to log on the first time. But now, every time I try to sign on, Messenger freezes during the sign in process. I eventually get the “Program Not Responding” error and I have to end the task.
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program over the last few days, but it doesn’t help. I am able to get on Messenger just fine from my desktop computer, and my work computer, but I just can’t get it to work on my brand new laptop!
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
What are the specifications of your laptop?
What I’d advise doing is looking for differences in the configuration of both machines, and then making the setup of your laptop as similar as possible to your desktop PC.
It sounds like some form of software conflict.
