You are still a global moderator…I think it would be best for the site if you took care of it since the rest of the mods for that area are not online. Don’t you agree?

Don’t you agree?I agree it would be best for the site, however, I’ve been told I’m not skilled enough to be a moderator and I’ve also been told I can’t be a moderator anymore. Why should I try? Sorry, I don’t really feel like discussing this anymore.
May 8, 2005 at 5:07 pm #120503Jeff HesterKeymasterJan is no longer a global moderator. He is going to be the server administrator, but does not want to be a global moderator in the new organization.
I had offered the opportunity for him to be an Advisor, but feel that his people skills are not quite sufficient for him to be a Team Leader (something he appears hell-bent on proving over and over again). Somehow he missed that point that Advisors can be global moderators, but that’s water under the bridge.
May 9, 2005 at 12:52 am #120515OreoMemberWhen I posted it still said “SUPER MODERATOR” under Jan’s name. And I am sure that Jeff did his best to make sure EVERYONE had a chance to use their strengths on the site.
May 9, 2005 at 1:04 pm #120504detn8rParticipantPossibility for Dave’s comtech section: Sathallrin as a Mentor? Possibilities for Shifter’s Yahoo! section: UnSaKreD and EliteNick as Mentors?
May 9, 2005 at 2:11 pm #120507sciencefeelingMemberAlthough EliteNick has a whole lot of knowledge…I seriously doubt he is mature enough to be a Mentor…certainly he got better lately…BUT I cannot forget his roundabouts in the past.

May 15, 2005 at 4:29 am #120520duphusParticipantThis is starting to look really good, I’ve felt for a while that each IM service should have its own section, should be a good success.
Thanks for the mentor offer 😀

May 15, 2005 at 4:36 am #120519TigerbladeParticipanti noticed earlier today when the AIM forum had been split off into its own little section… i was wondering what was going on. now that each messenger has its own, it makes a bit more sense.
i’m not sure when/if this was changed, even if it was a while ago and maybe i just missed it… did “Random Ramblings” get changed to something else, or dropped, or what?
May 15, 2005 at 5:06 am #120516Someguy03MemberRandom Ramblings is now known as “Off Topic” (in addition to its sub-forums, it has its own main forum).
May 15, 2005 at 12:23 pm #120522sarahtownyMemberJust been reading up folks, been offline with a broken computer, but all is well now back on line, all seems well with the new structure by the sound of it, Jeff you must have been working all hours to sort this out, well done. Anyway just looking forward to sarah the mentor role, pulling up my shirt sleeves and diving in!
May 15, 2005 at 12:51 pm #120521amy_d_gParticipantI think everything looks great, especially the subtopics under the different IM forums… looks like it will be easier and faster for people to navigate and find the specific information they are looking for.
