MP3 is a music format, not a video format.

Memberhmm…you could get another free site that allows you to upload things to their server. then, on your geosites site, you can have a link to it.

Participantthis is the line of html you’re looking for…
Quote:quote:<embed name="RAOCXplayer" src="http://www.vh1.com/sitewide/videoplayer/asxmaker.asx?clipids=1524291&s1=az&s2=lopez_jennifer&noOutro=false&x=x.asx"
type=”application/x-mplayer2″ width=”220″ height=”257″ ShowControls=”1″ ShowStatusBar=”0″ AutoSize=”false”
EnableContextMenu=”0″ DisplaySize=”0″ pluginspage=”http://www.microsoft.com/Windows/Downloads/Contents/Products/MediaPlayer/”>they used it as an ASX file, not a traditional MPEG or AVI, and they linked directly from the VH1 site… they didnt use their own video file, they didnt upload it to geocities or anywhere else. for all I know, its not even legally allowed to be on that site (i’d think its some sort of infringement on VH1’s rights)
if you still want to have a music video on your site, follow camster’s post aboveJuly 29, 2004 at 9:36 am #75626khizz

ParticipantDo you really think visitors would be willing to download a 32MB video? For those on dail-up this would take hours, and it’s a bit much for high-speed users as well. Sites that host video files usually stream them from a highly compressed format. If you re-encoded your video down to a reasonable size, it might be worthwhile putting it on your site. Try Windows Media Encoder to accomplish this fairly easily.
