ICQ has three options for displaying the IP address:
1. Show IP to no one
2. Show IP only to contact list members
3. Show IP to anyoneIf you know for a fact that your target is set to #2, and if you can detect the target’s IP address, then you know you are on the target’s contact list. If the target’s IP address shows up as 0.0.0.0 again with #2, then you know you are not on the target’s contact list.
In order to determine the IP display configuration of the target there are a few utilities you can use, perhaps one from http://www.ifud.ru/ or Salsa from etplanet.
To find the target’s IP address, again you can use a utility or netstat.
