I’m pretty sure this have been thought of before but I thought of an idea I think could help people greatly, I know I would use it a lot. Tell me what you think.
Make a second login on Windows or whatever you use called anything you want, I would call it Quick Startup. Here’s where I have some questions. Can you have programs startup on one login and not another, like Norton?
For Example. Login Matt I want Norton to startup but Login QuickStart, I don’t.
Anyway this is possible?
I think this would be useful when you’re installing updates and you know you’ll hae to quickly restart again.
I use XP Pro and have setup multiple login accounts. Each one can have their own startup folder, but programs that have their own startup information (like NAV, AIM and a few others) don’t appear there. I haven’t tested to see if you can control them individually by login, but I suspect the answer is “it depends”. Try it and see, then let us know.
Ok, I think I’m going to try it. I found this great program called Startup Mechanic and you can choose which programs startup.
