Some of you may have seen the tell-tale x-ray I posted on Facebook, but in case you haven’t, I broke my wrist on Saturday while mountain biking. I crashed hard; cracked my helmet from front to back, bruised my ribs and hips, and added to my growing collection of scrapes and scratches.
Fortunately, I’m okay. My left hand (I’m right-handed) is in a sandwich plaster splint until the swelling goes down. It will be replaced by a fiberglass cast on Friday.
Unfortunately, it derailed my plans for this past weekend and much of this week. I want to thank Doris for posting an official welcome message to our newest member of the BigBlue Crew, VvWolverinevV. Meanwhile, there has been a TON of big news that I’ve fallen way behind on — most notably the release of the Palm Pre and the announcement of the iPhone 3Gs and OS 3.0.
I’m doing my best to catch up, but it’s challenging typing with one hand and dealing with the added fatigue as my body heals.
In the meantime, please remember that the News Room is only visible to staffers. It’s a good source for interesting stories or forum topics, but doesn’t do anyone any good unless someone posts them. If you see something you find interesting, please feel free to post!
Now, does anyone know if there is decent voice dictation software for the Mac? 🙂
Oh man, cracked your helmet?! Glad your noggin is still intact. Heal up so’s you can get back on teh interwebz.
Looks like you’re doing pretty good on the one handed typing there! And definitely – feel better soon!!

Geezo – sounds like quite a wreck there! Thank goodness for helmets and … well, thank goodness it’s scrapes, bruises and a wrist. And even tho there is a lot going on in the *world* – you need to take care of you first; seriously. Bet Penny’s quite a good nurse tho :p
