Hello and welcome to BigBlueBall. 😀
Sounds like to me this is possibly related to the ‘ghost logins’ issue. This is probably a Yahoo issue, which they’ll have to fix. Now, if you wish to have a solution now, send me a forum PM and I’ll give you a link to something that will fix this for you. 🙂
I believe this is an issue with friends on your buddylist.
meaning when you login…and say “joe soap” is on your buddylist and in Room:1
People in this room will recieve your online status packet when “joe soap” is supposed to only.
they then pm you thinking..”what the hell” a stranger just came online on my list….who are you?
This is a yahoo server/protocol issue and needs to be fixed serverside.

I’m confused. Why can’t you just put the user on ignore? In the next line you say that the number is of a Yahoo user. Are you saying this person is texting your phone outside of Yahoo but is a Yahoo user? If that’s the case, call your phone carrier and have them block the number from your phone.
There is no need to track them down — if you feel threatened, you should probably call your local law enforcement.
