Hi –
I am using XP to operate MSN 6.2.
Whenever I try to view a persons webcam I get a black screen rather than the image. I can send my image fine and it is seen okay at the other end.
I assume it is not a firewall problem because it says at the bottom of the screen that connection has been established.
The person at the other end is using a logitech quickcam with XP through MSN 6.2 also.
I am pretty new to webcams and do not have a clue about whether its a problem at my end or their end. hardware or software. I do know that their camera works fine through the wizard process.
I only use the webcam to communicate with one contact overseas ( iam in NZ ) and as such dont even have anyone else to try it out with.
Thanks
i had the same problem where I could see myself but the other side couldn’t….i installed MSN v7 and the camera worked.
