reinstalling messenger

Aloha all,
I deleted my messenger and now I want to reinstall it and I keep getting the message application failed to start because of MSVCR71.dll was not found and if I reinstall it it may fix the problem.. The problem is I have no idea what that is… any clues on how to fix this???? any help would be appreciated… thank you

waterbaby there are dll files in every software you install maybe when you downloaded that yahoo messenger and while installing that .dll file may got corrupt or shouldve been missed so try downloading yahoo messenger again and install it… it will work thn
