Your computer has already been upgraded to Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2). For tips or help using it, see the SP2 support and how-tos.
So why aint it working
There is Windows Messenger and Windows Live Messenger
These two programs are very different with a similar purpose.
Does your PC have Service Pack 2 installed?
If it does not you can manually update Windows messenger here
If it does have Service pack 2 it should already have Windows Messenger 4.7
If your PC has MSN Messenger 7.0 or Windows Live Messenger 8.0 you should be able to do a remote session without complications.
If you still have problems you can try this site for alternatives
