*** FOR EXPERIENCED USERS!!!!! ***
To remove those annoying, flashing banners at the bottom of ICQ.
Simply open the ICQ folder with windows explorer. C:Program FilesICQ
Delete the file “ICQHttp.dll”
Do not delete “ICQHttp .dll” (note the space)
Re-start ICQ and ….. –**no banners**–
Or you can add this line to your host file:
127.0.0.1 ar.atwola.com (This also removes AIM ads)
These are 2 easy fixs for ridding yourself of the annoyance of aim & icq!!

The first method works for ICQ2001, 2002 and 2003a, but not 2003b or 2000x or ICQ Lite.
It’s ICQHttp_.dll not ICQHttp .dll

Worked like a charm for my 2003a.
At the bottom of those messages I now have the beige screen of ad-indifference.Cheers,
