Ok, since I have seen a bunch of messages on here from people wanting to remove the upgrade message from MSN 5.0 because it is so annoying, and I assume noone really likes version 6 too much…
I browsed around the web awhile looking to help, but couldnt find anything to do this..so I decided to write my own program.
Mine seems to work great for me.Here it is to download:
MSN 5.0 LoaderJust download this to your MSN directory, and run it instead of msnmsgr.exe It will stop the updating and then start MSN for you.
This is a very early release of this and I will continue working on it.. So far the current version will stop working at the end of June (2004) April (2005).
I will update this to last indefinatly…Please post any feedback on this.. if it works, if it doesnt and if it doesnt.. your OS, version… and the date your computer is set to when running it (it should work for anytime between 1/21/2004 and 6/30/2004 4/31/2005… If it doesnt work for a certain day, please let me know, and I will fix it.. Fell free to set your clock to days and test them to see if it will run on that day.

I have updated this program since this post, and it has moved.. I have edited the link in the above post.. but here it is again:
This new updated version should work through April 2005..I felt there was no need to update it past then at this time.. as 5.0 probably will be obsolete by then anyways.
