MemberI suggest a way to see who and when you give a rep point to.
I know this was in part of a post between Tea Granny and hatedjealousy but thought this makes sense. With so many things happening it is hard to keep track.

ParticipantWhen it comes to this topic i still stick to my previous response:
me (in another thread) wrote:…you are unable to see who gave you rep points. You should only see the thread name and a comment if they chose to leave one. If you click on the thread it takes you to the direct post which you are getting the rep for. The main reasoning i see behind this is anonymity. If some people knew who gave them bad rep. they might seek revenge and purposely give them bad rep as well for no reason. So it’s good to keep it this way.I honestly do believe if people knew who gave them bad reputation they might hold a grudge (not everyone but most people). Also i think people would hesistate to be honest when giving reputation if they knew the person would know it was them who gave them that reputation (mainly bad rep.) I’m aware that there are people who give rep and deserve a thanks but if they really want a thanks they’ll do what i know most people do, which is write a comment in the reputation and add their name. “Thanks for the laugh ~ Vanessa” (Idea i stole from Spike, even though i know lots of other people do this). That way if that person did leave a name, then you can choose if you want to thank or not.
As for the way to know who you last gave reputation to, i’d love for there to be a way to do so but i think it’d be seriously hard to fix the system to do this. And again i’ll quote myself:
me wrote:…The only way you can partially know is if you try to give a person reputation and get the following:Quote:You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to (person) again.Of course this will stop coming up again after you spread some around, so it’s not a absolute way of finding out who you have given rep. to.
So this is my two cents on your suggestions. Just what i think but other people might think differently, so shall let them respond next. 😛
Also thanks for making suggestions, they help make the site better. (this goes to everyone who makes suggestions)

KeymasterThis is a great idea, and I have added it to my “to-do” list.
Thanks William!
Edit: It’s not the same as seeing who gave you reputation — this is about seeing who YOU gave reputation to already. I agree with hatedjealousy that it’s better to allow anonymity, so even here, you would be the only one who could see what reputation points you’ve given — others still wouldn’t know.
Of course, when you leave reputation points, if you wanted to let someone know, you can always include your name in the comment (i.e. “great post! – Jeff”).

KeymasterGood news! I’ve added this feature. Now when you visit My BigBlueBall you’ll see a new section that shows the most recent reputation points you’ve given.
Thanks again for the suggestion!
