Well i tried giving reputation points for a news article but i found out there was no option for that anywhere. Sometimes (yes these are rare moments) people other than Jeff post news articles and in my opinion they deserve rep points for them but there is no option to do so. Usually what i end up doing is finding a different post of theirs and giving them rep there but i’d prefer they see it was meant for their news piece instead of having to state it.
This isn’t a big deal and nothing essential, just a thought. So no rock-throwing saying “it’s a waste of time or space.” Just that since we are trying to use the reputation system more actively, then it should be an option in every post people make even in the news section.
And if by any chance this option is available, someone can point it out to me and then tell me not to post at 1 a.m. anymore because i’m sleepy and might miss things…

Is this possible? To be able to give, the person who either posts the new’s article or a person who comments on the new’s article, rep?
July 29, 2006 at 1:21 am #143976SpikeMemberWe will be moving the news system away from the forums, so I don’t think this will be available anymore, unfortunately. Maybe find a different post by that user and explain that the rep is for a news article? It all goes to the same place anyway :p

Shall have to type more in the comment box when i want to do that then!
