I am being harrased and threatend by two people. I have no way of getting their isp’s contact info to report them and reporting them to yahoo hasnt helped. If anyone can help me please email me.
Gaz, please do not ask for personal contact on our forums. You of all people should know the only way to get an IP is with a direct connection. Any other way would likely be illegal and not allowed on this forum. Your only available answer is even included in the Yahoo FAQ, which I’ve quoted below just in case you are incabable of finding it yourself.
1. If you are using webcam, IM with a buddy, IMVironments or file transfers, you can start a dos prompt (NT/2000/XP: Start>Run>cmd | 9x/ME: Start>Run>command.com) Type netstat at the prompt.
2. An IP address is not something hard to obtain, and will not get you anywhere. In fact the majority of users have dynamic IP’s that change from day to day.
3. If you believe you are being cyberstalked or harrassed in chat/messenger you need to do one or all of the following – report the offender to abuse@yahoo.com ; contact the local authorities; and visit http://www.wiredpatrol.org for more information and help.
Gaz just ignore them they will get tired and go away , the old saying Kill them with Kindness works the best Dont let it show that they are bothering you and soon they will get tried of it and leave you alone .
